Day 1: Arrive Paro – Thimphu sightseeing 65 km 1 hour.
Day 2: Thimphu – Punakha 77 km 3 hours

Day 5: Paro – Departure:

Start by disembarking into a stunning landscape to glimpse of the Bhutan tour including Thimphu, Punakha, and Paro. Climb to the top of Paro’s Tiger’s Nest Monastery, learn about Bhutan’s culture, take in the stunning Himalayan scenery, explore Punakha’s Dzong, and go on a walk through pristine valleys on our Glimpses of Bhutan tour.


Day 01: Arrive at Paro to Thimphu

Thimphu (about 64 kilometers/1 hours) Arrive in Paro and travel to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is yours to do as you please. Enjoy a pleasant walk in the valley in the evening. Thimphu is where you’ll spend the night.

Day-2: Thimphu to Punakha

Today, go sightseeing in Thimphu, including the BBS Tower, and get an overhead perspective of the Thimphu Valley. Visit Motithang mini zoo to see Takin which is Bhutan’s national animal. After that, go to the Anim Dratshang (Nunnery), the National Library, and the Paper Factory. Later in the afternoon, pay a visit to the Memorial Chorten, built in the memory of King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the third king of Bhutan. After that, pay a visit to the School of Art and Craft, Zangthopelri Lhakang, and the Handicrafts Emporium. Towards evening, proceed to Punakha, a valley surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks that served as Bhutan’s capital until 1955. Transfer to your hotel in Punakha when you arrive. Relax for the rest of the day.

Day-3: Punakha/Paro

This morning, go to Punakha Dzong, which was built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in the 17th century at the junction of the Po and Mo Chu rivers. The Dzong houses religious relics as well as Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel’s embalmed body. Later, travel to Paro, Bhutan’s most scenic valley, which served as the historical crossroads for two of the most important trading routes to Tibet. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day-4: Paro

In the morning, go sightseeing in Paro, including the ruined castle of Drukgyel Dzong, which served as a watchtower in the Paro valley during the Tibetan invasions from the north in the early 17th century. Then go to Taktsang Monastery, often known as the ‘Tiger’s Nest,’ which is located 3000 feet above the valley floor. Later in the afternoon, pay a visit to Paro Dzong, the National Museum, which is located in a historic watchtower and houses the world’s best collection of Thangka Paintings.

Day-5: Paro/Deputure

Today, travel to Paro Airport to catch a flight back to your homeland or next destination, bringing with you cherished memories to last a lifetime.


The 5 days Bhutan tour cost is given below and is inclusive of sustainable development fee (SDF) of US $ 100 per person per night and Bhutan visa fee US $ 40 per person.

Entrance fees for monuments and festivals visits to be paid separately.

  • Solo travel: US $ 1400.
  • 2 pax: US $ 1160 per person.
  • 3 pax or more: US $ 1080 per person.
